The FWS-20 Flame Wire Thermal Spray System is one of the most reliable and versatile systems on the market. It utilizes an electrical motor to control the wire feed speed, which results in a better performance and a higher repeatability than any other Flame Wire Systems currently available.
The FWS-20 is designed for manual, automatic or robotic operation and can be integrated with automated, high production volume, spray coating facilities. The unique electrical wire feed system can be used for Thermal Spray wires with high and low melting points without having to change gun wire drive parts or to utilize other guns.
The FWS-20 offers the following unique features:
Process Reliability
The wire feed speed is set in mm/min and is shown on a digital display. Standard preset parameters can be used, so the consistency is guaranteed and operator independency is reduced.
Coating Quality
The wire feed speed is constant and independent from possible fluctuations in air pressures or any condition of contamination or wearing of gun parts. This unique feature results in a consistent coating quality.
Low Maintenance costs
The FWS-20 gun has no high speed rotating parts that are normally subjected to excessive wear. Wire drive parts have high lifetimes reducing the overall maintenance intervals and costs.
Versatility
The FWS-20 gun is designed to spray wires with different melting points, varying from Tin to Molybdenum, without changing the gun or gun parts.
The FWS-20 can be acquired either as a complete system or as an upgrade kit. In this way, a conventional air motor driven flame wire gun can be upgraded to an electrical FWS-20 system. Parts such as gas head, hoses and cables can be re-used.
