FST recently completed the successful installation of a Heat Recovery System for a customer operating three HV-50 Liquid Fuel Systems. The project took place in a cold-climate region where winter temperatures regularly drop below freezing. To maintain optimal conditions, the spray booths required significant electrical energy to heat the intake air — until now.
Previously, the hot air and cooling water produced by the HVOF liquid fuel process were simply exhausted outdoors, wasting valuable energy. FST’s innovative Heat Recovery System changes that. It captures and repurposes the thermal energy from both the exhaust air and cooling water to preheat the incoming booth air.
The result? A dramatic reduction in energy consumption, by an estimated 50% to 75%, depending on the selected configuration, compared to conventional heating methods.
This smart solution not only improves energy efficiency but also supports your company’s sustainability goals.
